Here are some artifacts from the 1967-1969 Christmas seasons.
A Christmas card that made the rounds.
Headline from after my return to the U.S.
In early 1967, I was sent to Viet Nam, where I did two 9 month tours. For the first, I was shooting 16mm movies and still photography for the 9th Infantry Division Signal Corps, and for the second, doing graphics in a print shop for the 246th PSYOPs company at Bien Hoa. My first tour was spent mostly in and around the small town of Rach Kien, Long An province. It belongs to the Mekong River delta area - a land of rice paddies, sloughs, rivers, mud, and monsoon rains.
